At the primary level, we introduce valuable creative writing skills to help students express their thoughts and emotions in writing. Teachers give detailed feedback on every piece of composition written in class. A wide range of composition topics will be covered.

In a small class of 6 students, our teachers give individual students close attention and guidance in their writing and work. Students can comfortably pose questions to their teachers who act as facilitators in helping them craft their narratives.

What’s New at The Write Corner in 2017 for Primary Creative Writing Classes!

  1. ‘Weekly Spelling Test’ revamped to increase Vocabulary retention

By using different formats of testing such as mix-and-match, fill in the blanks, form your own sentences, peer-testing, reading aloud etc., we aim to help TWC students better retain new vocabulary they learn here. Research1 has shown that repeated testing can help bolster long-term learning. (link)

  1. New TWC Canvas bags for all students who enroll with us in Jan 2017!
  1. Improvements to our Mock Test Assessment

At The Write Corner, we believe that grades and scores alone without comments and feedback give no intrinsic value to the students. With the help of language assessment experts and to make the Mock Test truly beneficial for students, we have made our marking process more rigorous and improved the marking and in-class Mock Test procedures.
